The fruit in the mouth is a bright fresh pure red, alpine strawberry model, and continues through to the back of the palate, without falling away as sometimes Suchots can do. A success. Note: 30+ year old vines. A classic Vosne nose freely offers up its aromas of a plethora of spice elements, sandalwood, exotic tea and ripe plum and black cherry. There is fine richness and more volume, if less minerality, to the seductively textured yet powerful medium-bodied flavors that are also quite firm on the explosively persistent finish.
