We skipped over the 2010 vintage because Lodovico Antinori is less pleased with that wine's evolution. There is little doubt, however, concerning the massive appeal of the 2009 Biserno. Specifically, I need to underline how beautifully the wine is drinking at this very moment in time. If you have a bottle, it's time to pop that cork. You will be treated to a beautifully balanced wine that feels ever so natural and comfortable in its plus-sized intensity. The wine walks with a heavy gait, but it does so with the impeccable grace of a classic dancer. Dark fruit segues to spice, leather, smoke and cigar box. The wine's substantial textural richness caresses the palate. This vintage is right up there with the excellent 2015 release. (ML)
