Domaine Joseph Roty is a Gevrey-Chambertin estate with one of the largest concentrations of old vines in Burgundy, averaging approximately 65 years across all parcels, including Charmes-Chambertin vines in excess of 120 years. The domaine practices late picking to concentrate yields further, with three-week cuvaison and fermentation below 30 degrees, aging in relatively high new oak — around 50% on village wines and 100% on Grand Cru — producing wines built to age. The estate is currently run by Pierre-Jean Roty, who has continued the family's uncompromising winemaking approach. Skurnik Wines imports to the United States.
