Founded by Sam Sebastiani in 1985, Viansa Winery was conceived as a celebration of the Sebastiani family’s Italian heritage, combining Tuscan-inspired architecture with a focus on premium California wines. The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from select vineyard sites that captured the diversity of Northern California terroir, where warm days, cool evening temperatures, and well-drained soils allowed Cabernet Sauvignon to develop both richness and structure. Viansa’s approach emphasized elegance and accessibility alongside Napa and Sonoma’s hallmark dark fruit character, producing wines that reflected the growing sophistication of California Cabernet at the close of the twentieth century.
