Coombsville, tucked into southeastern Napa Valley near San Pablo Bay, was elevated to AVA status in 2011 and generally has a cooler growing season than much of the valley. Maroon's Special Reserve Cabernet sits in that context, with the 2014 vintage coming from a widely successful Napa growing year marked by an early, even harvest.
