2007 DIADEMA Rosso IGT Toscana
95
Wine Spectator
Review Date: 10/2009Fabulous aromas of crushed berries, spices, black licorice and smoke. Full-bodied, with a beautiful density of rich, ripe fruit, as well as coffee and toffee. Complex and spellbinding. The bottle is total bling, with encrusted Swarovski crystals as a label, but the wine is very, very real. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah.

Notes
Diadema is based in the Tuscan hills outside Florence, centered on the historic Villa l’Olmo estate held by the Giannotti family since the late 18th century. The modern winery took shape in 2004 under Alberto Giannotti. Production focuses on Tuscan varieties and IGT blends, with vineyards in Impruneta and expansion into the Mugello zone through the Collefertile farm project. The wines reflect the region’s ripe, structured profile while maintaining polish and consistency across cuvées like Diadema Rosso and the more approachable Damare line. Today the second generation, Giulia and Livia, have joined the estate.
