Backstage is a family-owned winery in Napa Valley's Oak Knoll District founded by winemaker Angelo Pera in 2010, whose winemaking journey began over 30 years ago in his garage and reflects his Italian roots and deep respect for craft. The estate includes 50 acres of vines on the valley floor, with Angelo also sourcing from trusted growers across Napa Valley, producing single-vineyard wines by hand in small lots — most from plots of just one to two acres — with Cabernet Sauvignon as the cornerstone of the program. Angelo works alongside his family, including daughter Olivia as assistant winemaker and son Matt overseeing marketing and hospitality.
