“Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Leonardini Estate spent 27 months in 65% new French oak. It offers a distinct earthiness as well as beautiful purity in its crème de cassis and black raspberry fruits. This is followed by a rich, medium to full-bodied, concentrated wine that has classic notes of cedar, lead pencil and violets, ripe, present tannin, good acidity, and a clean, focused finish. It’s a high-quality Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that will benefit from short-term cellaring (which isn’t the norm for 2014s) and keep for 10-15 years.” (12/2017)
