Juicy and tense - this has bright acidity and lovely crystalline fruit with quite a straight and streamlined core of blackcurrants and tannins edged in a salty and spicy liquorice. It's not hot, there's no real sense of the vintage in terms of alcohol, and there's lovely cooling mint, cola, blueberry and crushed stone touches on the finish. Feels really balanced and out to please. Lovely. (GH)
