Based in Serralunga d'Alba, Villadoria works in one of Barolo's historically structured communes, where Nebbiolo is grown on limestone-rich Langhe soils. The 2007 vintage was warm and early in Piedmont, a year that generally gave Barolo more immediate openness than cooler, slower seasons.
