Jancis Robinson

Bright ruby. High-pitched red berry and spicecake aromas show very good clarity and a hint of woodsmoke. Lively and sharply focused, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that put on weight with air. Finishes clean and nervy, with fine-grained tannins and a hint of cola. (JR) (07/2014)

The 2012 Pinot Noir Arbre Vert Vineyard, which is mostly from the Pommard clone of Pinot Noir, offers lots of strawberry, cranberry, spice and underbrush in a medium-bodied, supple and racy package. (JD) (10/2014)

Wine Enthusiast

A delicate, almost fragile wine, this opens with tart fruit flavors of strawberry and red plum. There's more than enough acidity, smooth tannins, and a graceful flow to the wine, ending with a light dusting of cocoa. (PG) (10/2014)

Wine Spectator

Light and sleek, with pretty raspberry and apricot flavors on a polished frame, lingering gently. Drink now through 2018. (HS, Web-2015) (01/1901)

Trisaetum Estate are turning out some of the finest Pinot Noir in all of Oregon. Their wines embrace the power and purity of fruit Willamette Valley can provide whilst maintaining a wonderful sense of poise and elegance that harks back to the grape's Burgundian heritage. These qualities were recognized by then Wine Advocate writer, Neal Martin. Martin, a huge Burgundy enthusiast, who is now Senior Editor for Vinous covering Burgundy, wrote: "I was very impressed by Trisaetum’s Pinot Noir. In fact, their Estates Reserve 2012 was one of the best that I encountered during my whole trip, a sumptuous and opulent Pinot Noir in the vein of a fine Vosne-Romanée blessed with cashmere tannins and perfect acidity, yet with the necessary structure and tension to lend it animation and 'life'. Given the quantity and quality, even the price means that you do not have to pay through the nose for such pleasure."

Wine Advocate

The 2012 Pinot Noir Estates Reserve aims to showcase the attributes of all three vineyards and spends 18 months in French barrel, around 30 to 35% new. The nose is intense right from the start: dark cherries, wild strawberry and bergamot at first, hints of briar and fresh mint following behind. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannin: dark cherries, black plum, a pinch of white pepper and a slight flintiness toward the finish. This is very nicely focused with just a touch of piquancy on the finish. Give it another 12-18 months in bottle and you will have a seriously fine Oregon Pinot Noir. Bravo. (NM) (03/2015)

Wine Enthusiast

Concentrated and lively, this showcases luscious black cherry fruit that's perfectly framed with zippy acidity and ripe tannins. It's a full-bodied, New World style, but with a complex, layered finish that says Oregon rather than California. *Cellar Selection* (PG) (10/2014)

Vinous

Vivid ruby-red. Deeply pitched dark berry preserve, cola and incense aromas show very good energy, with a smoky quality emerging as the wine opens in the glass. On the palate, juicy blackberry and cherry compote flavors are lifted and sharpened by a zesty mineral nuance and a hint of fresh flowers. Sweet vanilla and berry liqueur notes build on the finish, which is firmed by youthful, deftly integrated tannins. (JR) (07/2014)

Vinous

Brilliant ruby-red. Powerful, mineral-accented aromas of black raspberry, cherry-cola and lavender, with exotic clove and star anise nuances. Smooth and velvety in the mouth, offering sappy flavors of red and dark berries, cherry compote, candied flowers and blood orange. Closes sappy and very long, with resonating spiciness and smooth, late-arriving tannins. (07/2014)

Wine Advocate

The 2012 Pinot Noir Diversité comes from a mix of seven clones and was made by winemaker, Schott Schull. It sees 30% new oak for 11 months. It has a deeper color than the Cote Est. The nose is clean and precise with vivacious red cherries, cranberry and wild strawberry scents that gain more and more intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin, crisp acidity and plenty of fruit concentration on the finish without detracting from its finesse. This is a very stylish Pinot Noir and one of the finest recent releases from Le Cadeau. (NM) (03/2015)

90

Wine Spectator

Light, open-textured and gentle, with delicate acidity and soft-spoken blackberry, black pepper and caramel flavors lingering against pleasant tannins. (HS) (02/2015)
