Review Date: 09/2018A powerful, dense wine, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Amentet Vineyard oozes Veeder character. Graphite, scorched earth, lavender, plum, blood orange and crème de cassis are all finely rendered in this superb, intensely mineral Cabernet Sauvignon. Powerful and yet refined, with tremendous energy, the 2016 is a winner from Robert Craig. (AG)

The nose offers a fresh, modern and attractive impression of blueberries and blackberries, leading to a ripe plum-flavored palate that has supple, smooth and fleshy resolve. A blend of 86 per cent cabernet sauvignon and 14 per cent cabernet franc.

Amentet is Robert Craig’s Mount Veeder bottling, from Napa’s rugged western hillsides where the winery has long focused on site-designated mountain Cabernet.
