2001 Mauro Barbero "More" Roero
Notes
Mauro Barbero’s estate began in 1939, when Paride Barbero planted the family’s first vines in Monticello d’Alba. For decades the farm focused on Barbera d’Alba, a tradition continued by his son Sergio. A major shift came in 1988 with the creation of the Mauro Barbero label, when the third generation, Mauro and his sister Monica, expanded both vinification and the range of wines produced. Today the winery works within the Roero and Langhe denominations, producing Nebbiolo, Barbera, Arneis and blends. Production emphasizes clean, varietal expression with medium alcohol and firm acidity, supported by stainless-steel vinification for many wines and selective use of barrique for top cuvées.
