2003 Marchetti "Villa Bonomi" Rosso Conero Riserva
Notes
Azienda Agricola Marchetti traces its origins to the early 1900s near Ancona, where the family established vineyards that now span roughly 22 hectares across Rosso Conero and Verdicchio zones. The estate remains family-run under Maurizio Marchetti, who continues a production style rooted in long macerations, late harvesting, and strict vineyard selection. Plantings center on Montepulciano with smaller amounts of Sangiovese for Rosso Conero, and Verdicchio from family parcels in the Castelli di Jesi. Fermentation occurs in the estate cellar using temperature control and extended maceration, with Conero Riserva aging in French barriques before bottle refinement. Annual output remains modest, focused on Rosso Conero, Conero Riserva, and Verdicchio Classico.
