2025 Elio Grasso Langhe Nebbiolo

The 2025 Elio Grasso "Gavarini" Langhe Nebbiolo is a vibrant, early-drinking preview of the estate’s legendary Monforte d'Alba terroir. Sourced primarily from the younger vines of the famed Gavarini Chiniera vineyard, this wine is designed to capture the pure, primary energy of the Nebbiolo grape. To maintain its high-toned freshness, the wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly in neutral vessels, completely avoiding any new wood influence. The 2025 vintage delivers a bright translucent ruby color, opening with high-register aromatics of sour cherry, wild strawberry, and crushed rose petals, accented by hints of white pepper and a signature chalky, vertical minerality. On the palate, it is exceptionally clean and linear. It pairs a savory, "nervous" acidity with fine-grained, youthful tannins that give it a beautifully structured, energetic frame without the weight of a full Barolo. It is an ideal, food-friendly red that shows its best with a slight chill alongside charcuterie, agnolotti dal plin, or roasted poultry.
