1995 Cappellano "Otin Fiorin" Barolo
Notes
Teobaldo Cappellano is one of Barolo’s most legendary traditionalist estates, fiercely committed to preserving historic methods and resisting the modernization that reshaped much of the region in the late 20th century. The “Piè Franco” bottling comes from ungrafted Nebbiolo vines planted in the famed Gabutti cru, where calcareous clay soils and the naturally structured terroir of Serralunga produce some of Barolo’s most powerful and long-lived wines. Made in the deeply traditional “Otin Fiorin” style with extended macerations and long aging in large neutral casks, the wine captures the austere elegance, earthy complexity, and profound aging potential that have made Cappellano a cult name among Barolo collectors.
