The 2014 Signature Mountain Blend is 82% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot. This wine is in a package well worth taking a look at. The blend is delicious and showcases some pretty sensational Merlot with its mocha, coffee bean, black cherry liqueur, and black currant fruit.

This is a Merlot-driven blend at 82%, with 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. The Merlot is from an older site on Howell Mountain. Spicy nutmeg seasons a soft, rounded palate of integrated tannin and full-bodied but balanced weight, the fruit flavor crisp in cherry, raspberry and cassis, just a touch of butterscotch revealed at the wine's end. *Editor's Choice* (VB)

Ralph Hertelendy's small Napa label focuses on Bordeaux-variety reds, with longtime Chappellet winemaker Phillip Corallo-Titus involved in the cellar. The 2014 growing season was another drought year in Napa, producing a compact crop after an early, even harvest.
