Reviewed May 2014Bright violet color. A wild, heady bouquet evokes candied red fruits and lavender, with a hint of cracked pepper adding vibrancy. Silky and sweet on the palate, offering intense raspberry and boysenberry flavors underscored by a spicy nuance. A bitter cherry note adds bite to the lively finish, which shows strong tenacity and just a hint of tannins. This wine strikes me as what might happen if pinot noir and syrah met up some night and got busy. (ST)
