The 2022 Sancerre “Origine” bottling from Matthias and Émile Roblin is an excellent wine. The bouquet is bright and precise, wafting from the glass in a mix of lime, green apple, chalky minerality, just a touch of fresh-cut grass, white flowers and a topnote of citrus peel. On the palate the wine is focused, full-bodied and beautifully defined by its underlying terres blanches minerality, with a fine core of fruit, a lovely girdle of acidity, excellent balance and a long, complex and racy finish. This will age very well indeed.
