Review Date: 01/2023The 2021 Rully Clos de Chaigne 1er Cru Blanc, matured in 25% new oak, has a lovely bouquet with fine delineation, much more mineralité than the Clos la Folie and apple blossom and wet limestone scents. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, with hints of rosewater complementing the citrus fruit and ample weight and persistence on the finish. Excellent. (NM)

More clay in the soil, so this wine is vinified and aged in wood. 20% new wood. Half from the Chassin cooperage and the rest split between Tremeaux and Taransaud. Bottled in December. Pale colour with a light green tint. A light and intriguing nuttiness to the nose, with an attractive volume, a saline note and adequate tension.
