Reviewed May 2025Coming from younger vines and a mix of terroirs, the 2023 Cornas Chaillot reveals beautiful red and blue fruits, violets, and floral nuances. Medium to full-bodied and supple on the palate, it shows remarkable purity and a juicy, elegant character, with plenty of ripe tannins and a beautiful sense of finesse. This clearly outstanding Cornas shows the softer, finesse-driven style of the vintage and I suspect will shine right out of the gate yet also evolve gracefully.

Wine Advocate
Notes of mulberries, violet and blueberry mingled with subtle carnal nuances preface the 2023 Cornas Les Chaillots, a medium- to full-bodied, dense and structured wine with a tensile, vibrant profile framed by velvety tannins, concluding with a long, ethereal, violet-inflected finish. Produced at a yield of 32 hectoliters per hectare—a healthy figure for the estate - it will require patience in the cellar. (YC)

Drink Rhone
Bright red; has a leafy toned nose, springy red berry, herbs, a little vegetal presence, sprinkle. The palate serves a direct offer of red fruit, crisp-rocky tannins from the mid-point – they prevail on the close. It has sound spine, is droit-linear, the red fruit/juice capable of moving forward with time. It’s quite streamlined, naked, has a smoky raspberry-herbal flavour. ****
