I Greppi's 2006 Bolgheri Greppicante is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc aged in French and American oak. It reveals the warmth of Maremma in its dark plums, spices, coffee beans and sweet toasted oak, with lovely balance and a sweet, resonating finish. This is textbook Bolgheri at a very reasonable price. (AG)
