The 2024 Livio Felluga Friulano is a classic, benchmark expression of the variety from the estate’s flysch-matrix (ponca) soils of marl and sandstone in the Friuli Colli Orientali. Vinified with a brief cold maceration and raised entirely in stainless steel on its fine lees for six months, it balances textbook varietal character with exceptional freshness. In the glass, it shows a pale straw color with subtle green reflections. The nose is focused and highly precise, opening with a refined line of white peach, Asian pear, and lemon blossom, underlaid by wet flint and a savory touch of wild thyme. On the palate, the wine delivers a gorgeous combination of a smooth, leesy mid-palate and a driving, vertical acidity. It carries a beautiful line between savory and fragrant, finishing long and mouth-watering with the grape's signature, bitter-almond dry note.
