The 2024 Red Wine Evangelho Vineyard is from Contra Costa County and is a blend of 90% Carignan with the balance Mourvèdre. The nose is compelling and spicy, pouring a magenta/purple-toned color and delivering perfumed notes of fresh blackberries, black raspberries, blood orange, sweet herbs, lavender, floral tones, and refreshing peppery spice. Medium to full-bodied, it has supple, even tannins, refreshing acidity, and a seamless finish. It’s charming upfront but should improve over the next 5-7 years. Drink 2026-2038.
