The 2024 Syrah Winds of Change is a potent, brooding young wine. A blast of dark-toned fruit, leather, tobacco, incense, licorice and mocha powers through the mid-palate and finish, where strong savory inflections from the 6% Viognier and 40% stems come through. Big, broad tannins add to an impression of virile intensity. The 2024 is quite the bruiser at this stage. (AG)
