Carpe Diem Cabernet embodies the essence of finely balanced Napa Valley classic cabernet sauvignon made in a traditional style. Winery note writes: "The wine is fruit forward, elegant, and exhibits soft tannins, making it pleasant to drink in its youth. Oak is used sparingly to keep Carpe Diem fresh and vibrant. A refreshing and straightforward wine expressing its bountiful fruit with bright aromas of wild strawberries and soft tannins."

Cabaud began in 2009 when Philip and Bonnie Cabaud settled in St. Helena and built a small Napa label shaped by close grower relationships and hands-on production. They hired Luc Morlet at the outset, drawing on his training in Champagne and Bordeaux and his long Napa experience. Early releases of Cabernet Sauvignon earned strong critical attention and set the tone for a portfolio that stayed intentionally small, roughly 1,000 cases per year.
