Review Date: 01/2025A glowing full lemon yellow. Discreet but super-concentrated. A little verbena on top of concentrated orchard fruit. Beautifully classy with its natural minerality. Still some oak to digest but the fruit will soon swamp it. A tasty almost savoury fruit to finish. Superb length. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted May 2025.

The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé Château des Quarts 1er Cru Monopole has a vibrant, focused and—I agree with Merlin—quite Chablis-like bouquet that evolves wonderfully in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a slightly honeyed entry, a keen line of acidity, touches of dried peach and apricot with a smooth finish. Very fine.(NM)
