Reviewed January 2026Still pale in colour, while the nose moves up a step in sumptuousness, with the peachy style of fruit. There is enough citrus to keep this honest. The Viré-Clessé very much demonstrates the style put in place by Dominique Lafon of infused finesse. Drink from 2026-2029. Tasted Oct 2025.

The 2024 Viré-Clessé has a slight smoky nose that unfolds nicely in the glass, not complex though it is well defined. The palate is taut and fresh, a little nectarine and pithy pear, cohesive with a persistent finish. A lovely Viré-Clessé to enjoy over the next three to five years.(NM)
