2024 Domaine Marcel Deiss "Engelgarten" Alsace Blanc

The 2024 Engelgarten, from alluvial gravels mixed with clay and marl in Bergheim, is a field blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Muscat. It is shyer and more restrained than usual. This is wonderfully stony and pebbly, like wet rocks. It is totally stony and long, with far more citrus than usual but with the same insistent, lasting saltiness, bathed in lemon. A wonderful iteration of this angel's garden. (Bone-dry)(AK)
