Very concentrated and equally refined with stunning aromas of violets, spices and more red fruit than I can think of. So graceful on the medium-bodied palate, even at this very early stage of what will be a long life. The mineral freshness in the finish is stunning, lifting this even higher. From organically grown grapes from an east-facing site that is Beaune’s unofficial Grand Cru. Drinkable now but best from 2027.

Bouchard's iconic 'Vigne de L'Enfant Jésus' is again among the appellation's top wines, with a dark mulberry fruit aroma touched with exotic spices and a floral note. The tannins are supple yet firm enough to carry the wine to a pleasantly lingering finish. Technical Director Frédéric Weber takes the best grapes from their 4ha in Beaune Grèves for this bottling; each section of the vineyards is farmed and vinified separately and reunited in the final blend. Wait ideally for several years before opening; this is a very long-lived wine.(CC)

Still a relatively light red crimson colour. The stylish quality of the bouquet cannot hide the density.. There is a significantly more dramatic weight of fruit with the classic gravelly finish. Very persistent. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Nov 2025.

Brilliantly integrated, this deeply textured wine sings with dazzling acidity and sumptuous tannins. Blueberries, pomegranates, licorice and rose petals dance in the glass. There is notably more fruit generosity in this year—Grèves can be rather muscled in its youth, but the alcohol remains reasonably medium. This large, historic parcel of 3.92 hectares sits in the center of Beaune Grèves.
