The 2021 Tenuta Nuova is a powerful and multifaceted expression of a great vintage, highlighting the southern Montalcino character of this specific estate vineyard. The nose is deep and dark, offering intense aromas of blackberries, dark chocolate, and incense layered with Mediterranean notes of rosemary and wild sage. On the palate, it is full-bodied and incredibly ripe, balancing a dense structure with vibrant acidity and youthful tension. The finish is rich and exceptionally long, marked by savory spices and polished, expansive tannins. A rare and complete Brunello that combines massive concentration with the characteristic "verticality" of the 2021 growing season. Introduced with the 1993 vintage, Tenuta Nuova grew out of Giacomo Neri's search for a distinct southern Montalcino site rather than an extension of the original Casanova di Neri vineyards. It remains one of the estate's key Brunello bottlings, positioned alongside the more limited Cerretalto in the winery's range. Named for the estate’s “new property,” Tenuta Nuova was developed after Giacomo Neri identified a site in the southern part of Montalcino near Castelnuovo dell’Abate. It is a 100% Sangiovese Grosso Brunello from dedicated estate parcels and sits alongside Cerretalto as one of Casanova di Neri’s flagship bottlings.
