The 2023 Pinot Noir El Jabali is another excellent Pinot Noir from Samra Morris, showing off its stunning purity of ripe fruit and crystalline clarity. Undeniably showy but not overdone, it delivers sweet raspberry, exotic spice tones and chalky tannins, remaining elegant and precise from start to finish. Juicy acidity freshens up the perfectly coiffed finish. Bravo.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir fermented with a touch of stems, the 2023 Pinot Noir El Jabali Vineyard offers mulled red and black cherries, black tea, loamy earth, and some gamey nuances, all of which define the aromatics. It's medium-bodied, has a round, layered mouthfeel, ripe yet building tannins, and outstanding length. Aged 10 months in 50% new and 50% neutral French oak, it's a classic Sta. Rita Hills beauty to drink over the coming decade. Drink 2025-2035.
