A gem in 2017 is the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon 36 (which was previously released under the 36-24-26 label). A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, and the rest Malbec, all aged in new French oak, it reveals a saturated purple color as well as terrific blueberry and black raspberry fruits interwoven with notions of tobacco leaf, chocolate, violets, and loamy soil. This beauty makes the most of the vintage and is full-bodied, has a great mid-palate, ripe tannins, and more purity and finesse than most in the vintage.
