The 2023 Zuani Vigne Collio Bianco is an exceptionally bright, multi-dimensional estate field blend crafted by Patrizia Felluga and her children at their gravity-fed winery in San Floriano del Collio. Rooted in the region's classic marl and sandstone flysch, locally known as ponca, this completely unoaked cuvee serves as a textbook example of modern Friulian white blending, utilizing equal parts of four varieties that have thoroughly acclimatized to these rolling border hills: Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. To preserve the pristine, vertical energy of each component, the hand-harvested fruit is cold-macerated and fermented exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, resting on its fine lees for several months before bottling without any wood contact or malolactic interference.
