Sourced entirely from the clay-limestone amphitheater of the estate’s namesake cru—which sits right on the border of Ovello—this benchmark 2019 vintage showcases the brilliant structural focus, power, and high-toned precision that define this classic, late-ripening year. To honor the terroir, the winemaking is uncompromised and traditional: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by extended maceration, aged for 18 months exclusively in large, neutral Slavonian oak casks (botti) to allow the true verticality of the site to express itself without any wood makeup. In the glass, it shows a bright, translucent ruby-garnet color with faint orange hues at the rim.
