Review Date: 01/2026Mid ruby, nothing more forced than that. The bouquet has perhaps a fraction more nobility than the Bonnes Mares but you have to wait for it to come to you. This fills the mouth beautifully yet in such a discreet way. Effortless (though you know the effort!) with a crystalline note to the refined tannins, and a perfect lingering precision of alpine strawberry and the lightest of raspberries. Very distinguished. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Nov 2025.

Note: from a .44 ha parcel with vines that were originally planted in 1904 though there has been a significant amount of replanting since. This also possesses enough wood to merit pointing out on the even spicier, and ever-so-slightly riper, aromas of wild red cherry, underbrush and a floral top note. The succulent, round and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that are a bit finer than those of the Bonnes Mares, all wrapped in a firm, balanced and lingering finale. This is also going to need extended keeping, which should also help to develop better depth.
