Reviewed January 2026A little more purple in the colour. More generosity of course in the bouquet as well. Still all red fruit but a slightly darker note to it. Correctly oaked, growing subtly in stature as the wine progresses across the palate. Refined tannins and considerable length. You see the qualities afterwards rather than during. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Nov 2025.

Note: from a 1 ha holding that is comprised of two large parcels that sit just above those of Domaine Comte de Vogüé. Once again there is enough wood to mention but not so much that it risks overshadowing the more floral and spice-suffused aromas of red and dark currant. The super-sleek, larger-bodied and more powerful flavors possess very good size, weight and volume while delivering fine length on the firmly structured finale. Extended patience will be necessary, which is after all only normal for Bonnes Mares.
