Peju began in 1983 when Tony and HB Peju purchased a 30-acre Rutherford parcel and released their first Cabernet Sauvignon from that site. The family steadily expanded into Calistoga, Oak Knoll, Pope Valley, and Carneros, assembling more than 500 organically farmed acres across Napa Valley. Winemaker Sara Fowler arrived in 2006 and completed the Rutherford estate’s organic transition the following year. Production focuses on estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and blends drawn from their Napa holdings.
