Reviewed April 2025The 2022 Pinot Gris Brand Grand Cru comes from almost 50-year-old vines grown on granitic soils in the Schneckelsburg parcel of this site. Slight smoke is almost smoldering on the nose while the palate is beautifully pear-flavored, with notions of baked pear that are supple yet fresh. This holds so much verticality, freshness and verve. There is just a touch of creaminess on the finish. The 2022 is a little treasure that still holds so much to be revealed. (Dry)(AK)

This is an impressive, high-end Alsace pinot gris. Beautifully ripe and mouth-filling on the silky full-bodied palate, but properly dry. In spite of the considerable amplitude on the front palate, this turns much sleeker and cooler in the long, focused finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
