2018 Stephane Bernaudeau "Les Nourrissons" Loire
Notes
Stéphane Bernaudeau is a grower-producer based in Cornu in the commune of Martigné-Briand in Anjou, who worked for nearly 20 years under Mark Angeli of La Ferme de la Sansonnière before releasing his first vintage under his own name in 2000. His three-hectare domaine is built on carefully selected single-parcel sites farmed biodynamically by horse, with all wines labeled as Vin de France. Les Nourrissons is a 0.7-hectare parcel of Chenin Blanc planted in 1910 on west-facing schist and argilo-calcaire soils, considered one of the most singular Chenin Blanc vineyards in the Loire Valley. Grand Cru Selections imports to the United States.
