1996 Domaine Duroché Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru
Notes
Domaine Duroché is a five-generation family estate in Gevrey-Chambertin with roots dating to 1906, when Louis Duroché was recorded as a vigneron patron and began acquiring the first estate parcels. The domaine was developed by Philippe Duroché and his wife Odile to five hectares, then expanded by their son Gilles to 8.5 hectares across multiple Gevrey-Chambertin appellations including Grand Cru holdings in Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Latricières-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, and Charmes-Chambertin. Charmes-Chambertin is the largest of the Gevrey-Chambertin Grand Crus, situated immediately south of Mazoyères-Chambertin on the mid-slope of the Côte de Nuits.
