1999 Domaine Duroché Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru

Notes

Domaine Duroché is a five-generation family estate in Gevrey-Chambertin with roots dating to 1906, when Louis Duroché was recorded as a vigneron patron and began acquiring the first estate parcels. The domaine was developed by Philippe Duroché and his wife Odile to five hectares, then expanded by their son Gilles to 8.5 hectares across multiple Gevrey-Chambertin appellations including Grand Cru holdings in Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Latricières-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, and Charmes-Chambertin. Pierre Duroché took over in 2003 at the age of 21, farming without insecticides or herbicides and vinifying with moderate extraction, no sulfur during fermentation, and aging in barrel for 12 months without racking.
