Matchbook Wine Company was founded by the Giguiere family, longtime winegrowers in northern Yolo County’s Dunnigan Hills. Recognized as an American Viticultural Area in 1993, Dunnigan Hills lies northwest of Sacramento. The 2024 Red Earth features Petite Sirah, the California name commonly used for Durif, a grape descended from Syrah and Peloursin.
