Domaine Berthelemot is one of Burgundy’s most dynamic modern success stories, founded in 2006 when Brigitte Berthelemot acquired Domaine Jean Garaudet in Pommard, later expanding with parcels from Charles Allexant in 2018 and Domaine Marey in 2019. Today the estate farms roughly 15 hectares across 28 appellations from Santenay to Gevrey-Chambertin, working from a purpose-built winery in Tailly near Meursault. Certified High Environmental Value and organic from the 2021 vintage, the domaine emphasizes soil health, reduced treatments, and biodynamic field practices. Winemaking relies on spontaneous fermentations, careful lees aging, and restrained new oak.
