Reviewed April 2026Note: from Les Malpoiriers and Les Durots. This is also aromatically quite fresh for the vintage with its blend of red currant, cherry, soft earth and a hint of the sauvage. There is again good richness, even a certain succulence, to the generously proportioned middle weight flavors that firm up noticeably on the more complex, dusty and moderately firm finale. This is an excellent Meursault rouge that for once isn't a Santenots!

The 2023 Meursault (Rouge) was showing quite a bit of reduction on the nose when I tasted it at the Domaine, so do not be afraid to decant this. The palate is well balanced with sapid red fruit, lightly spiced, quite a sweet core of confit-like fruit that just slightly blurs the finish.(NM)
