The Willamette Valley Sauvignon Blanc by which I measure all others, J.C. Somers' wine opens with earthy marigold and tangy fresh-cut grass notes surrounded by aromas of Golden Delicious apples and chalkboard dust. A laser beam of minerality and chippy acidity highlights the wine's pineapple, lemon zest, green tea and Ginger Gold apple flavors.

Sourced from the most famous planting of this varietal in all of Oregon. Croft's block of Sauvignon Blanc is now 40-years old! Farmed organically since day one. Vintner J.C. Sommers works with a one acre block of Clone 1 (orginating at Château d'Yquem) Sauvignon Blanc. This is his 24th edition of this unicorn wine.
