Review Date: 09/2025The 2024 Albariño is from Arbo, Condado de Tea, Rías Baixas. It opens with gentle aromas of lime, lemon peel and white flowers. This is textured by lees contact and lightly fruity, with medium freshness and a pear note on the finish. It is a broad-styled white typical of the Condado. (JH)

As Laxas was one of the first commercially producing wineries in Rias Baixas, with their first release in 1986 of 8,000 bottles. This Albariño is from 100% estate fruit from the subregion of Contado de Tea. Contado de Tea is located along the Northern bank of the Mino river, directly across from the Vinho Verde region of Melgaço. This is the most interior of all of the Rias Baixas. The wines have a touch more body and fruit with a riverstone minerality rather than the coastal saltiness of the Val de Salnes.
