The medium to full-bodied palate delivers firm grainy tannins and wonderful freshness to frame the muscular black fruit flavors, finishing long and earthy. What a compelling wine! The blend is 80% Caldwell Syrah and 20% Malbec from Los Carneros, an "ode to Shafer Relentless." (LPB)
