Review Date: 11/2020The 2018 Red Blend NoctuS has a deep garnet-purple color and is scented of tar, Black Forest cake, stewed plums and cracked black pepper plus suggestions of licorice, coffee beans and bacon. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has beautiful freshness lifting the boldly spiced black fruit preserves flavors with ripe, rounded tannins and a lingering peppery kick on the finish. (LPB)

Lots of plums, blueberries, candied violets, and leafy herbs notes emerge from the 2018 Red Blend Noctus, a rich, ripe, sexy wine that has a lively, elegant texture, nicely integrated acidity, and a good finish. It drops off slightly on the mid-palate and finish, but it still represents a good value for those that love up-front, fruit-loaded Napa wines.
