Based on 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot and aged 21 months in 85% new French oak, the 2022 Red Blend Oakcross Proprietary Red sports a deep purple hue as well as beautiful purity in its blue fruits, plums, flowery incense, and baking spice aromatics. Medium to full-bodied and nicely concentrated, it has good mid-palate depth and the slightly firmer tannins of the vintage. It's a very well-made, balanced, satisfying 2022 to drink over the coming decade. (JD)
